Take note young poets, the deadline for submissions for the RBC Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers is December 17, 2010. A prize of $5,000 will be awarded to the best collection of poetry, and two honourable mentions will each receive $1,000 prizes. Keep reading for full details.

RBC Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers.
To be eligible candidates must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, under the age of 35, unpublished in book form and without a book contract, but whose literary work has appeared in at least one independently edited magazine or anthology. Applicants should submit 5 - 10 pages of previously unpublished poetry. The candidate's name, address, email, telephone number, and details confirming their eligibility must appear only on the cover sheet accompanying the manuscript. All pages must be unstapled and consecutively numbered. Entries will not be returned.
