Canada Writes Autobiography Challenge

CBC’s Canada Writes has announced the autobiography challenge . However, rather than writing your entire autobiography, the competition asks writers to create the title of their autobiography and back-cover blurb for the chance to win an iPad 2. The submission deadline is September 2 at noon and the winner will be announced on September 12. Meanwhile, the site will feature selected submissions daily.

The challenge is one of many year-round writing competitions Canada Writes promised when it launched earlier this month.

Author Ian Ferguson, journalist Trevor Cole, radio host Katie Malloch and comedian Sean Cullen have also played along with the competition for fun in a piece featured on the site, with great imaginary titles like Some Cows Also Died and Life Is A Fight War.
