Black heritage and history in Canada spans a wide variety of stories, heroes, communities and legacies. In celebration of Black History Month, the Canadian Children's Book Centre has compiled a list of Canadian books that teachers and librarians can use to explore this country's stories.
The Canadian Children's Book Centre (CCBC) is a national, not-for-profit organization founded in 1976, dedicated to encouraging, promoting and supporting the reading, writing, illustrating and publishing of Canadian books for young readers.
