McClelland and Stewart has announced that they will be publishing Conrad Black’s second memoir, A Matter of Principle, which they expect it to hit bookshelves this October.
The memoir picks up where his previous one, A Life in Progress, left off, chronicling his life from 1993 to present. Described as “unflinchingly revealing and superbly written,” the book will cover Black’s reign as a major newspaper publisher through to his trial and subsequent imprisonment. It also aims to touch on more personal subjects, such as his marriage and close friendships.
“We’re honoured to be publishing Conrad Black’s A Matter of Principle,” says Douglas Pepper, President and Publisher of McClelland and Stewart in the press release. “A biographer of some of the great men of modern politics, Conrad Black looks inward, giving us a bird’s eye view of his controversial life as a media baron, philanthropist, and visionary. The book is a continuation of Lord Black's distinguished publishing career and we are looking forward to the exciting projects to come.”
