Did you miss out on last month's SpecFic ticket contest? Have no fear — the generous folks running the conference are offering a second chance to win this month!

At the end of August, the Toronto SpecFic Colloquium and Open Book are giving away two tickets to the conference AND a copy of Caitlin Sweet's The Pattern Scars (ChiZine).

The colloquium takes place on October 15, 2011 at the Toronto Underground Cinema and features talks from major science fiction, fantasy and horror authors. Guest authors include Mike Carey, Emily Pohl-Weary and Daniel A. Rabuzzi. This year's theme is "Modern Mythologies", exploring how speculative fiction can offer a glimpse of other times and realities, provoking inquiry into what it means to be human. Visit the Toronto SpecFic Colloquium website for more information.

In order to submit your entry, send an email with your name and mailing address to contests@openbooktoronto.com with the subject line "Toronto SpecFic August".

The last day to enter is August 31, 2011, so don't miss out!

And stayed tuned in September for our final giveaway with the Toronto SpecFic Colloquium!
