Counting All Readers!

You may have heard of a bird count, but what about the book count? This week, the National Reading Campaign and its partners will track books bought and borrowed across the country in an attempt to find out more about the reading habits of Canadians. In his article for the Globe and Mail, John Allemang reports that we have high hopes for the National Book Count: Only 13 per cent of Canadians would call themselves non-readers, compared to 43 per cent of our neighbours to the south.

So...did you need any other excuse to pick up a new book or two after the holidays?
