The Edna Staebler Personal Essay Contest offers a $1,000 prize for the winning essay. All submissions will be considered for paid publication in The New Quarterly.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to April 6, 2012.
Edna Staebler was a pioneer in the field of literary journalism. She wrote articles for MacLeans, Chatelaine, Saturday Night and others. Edna also helped create The New Quarterly in 1981.
Entry fee: $40 per submission. Each submission includes a one-year Canadian subscription (or subscription extension) to The New Quarterly.
