Contributing Editor (Maternity Leave)
Open Book is seeking a Contributing Editor for the websites www.openbooktoronto.com and www.openbookontario.com for June 15, 2011 to November 2, 2011. The responsibilities of the position include: coordinating the video, blog tour and interview schedules; researching and interviewing authors and illustrators; writing news items; organizing contests; and assisting the Executive Director and Managing Editor with projects as they arise.
This is a part-time position requiring 18 hours per week. The ideal candidate is able to work from a home office (or online-access point of their choice) and is interested in Canadian authors and Canadian publishing, loves books, possesses strong writing and editing skills and will bring fresh ideas to our websites.
