Several books published by Ontario-based publishers are finalists for the 2011 Book of the Year Award.
This award was established to bring attention to the achievements of independent publishers and their authors.
The categories and finalists are:

First, second and third place winners will be awarded in each category and a $1,500 cash prize will also be awarded to Best Fiction and Best Non-Fiction. Winners will be announced June 23, 2012.
