How many poetry readings have you been to where the poets arrive by canoe? The unique and wonderful Fish Quill Poetry Boat Tour starts tonight in Toronto at The Boat (which presumably the poets will get to without their boats). From August 4 to 13, the eight performers on the tour will travel the Grand River by canoe, stopping along the way to read at various venues. Check our Events page to see if they'll be paddling up to read at a location near you.
The FQPB participants are: Linda Besner (The Id Kid), Asa Boxer (Skullduggery), Jeramy Dodds (Crabwise to the Hounds), Gabe Foreman (A Complete Encyclopedia of Different Types of People), Helen Guri (Match), Leigh Kotsilidis (Hypotheticals), Daniel Kincade Renton (Qwerty poetry editor) and musician Abigail Lapell.
