The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs offers a unique and exciting Translation Grant Program for English-speaking Canadian publishers. The purpose of the grant is to make works by 20th century and contemporary French authors available to Canadian readers. The grant assists selected publishers by funding 30 percent of the cost of the fee for translating texts from French into English. The deadline for the 2011 grant application is June 25th.
