This Sunday, October 16, is part 1 of a two-part poetry workshop with Halifax's Poet Laureate, Sue MacLeod.

The workshop is called “Writing Under the Influence: poetry inspired by art” and the focus will be ekphrasis. It is being held at the Art Gallery of Northumberland in Cobourg. Pieces from the gallery's permanent collection will be involved in the workshop, so this is a rare opportunity to explore literary and visual art in a unique way.

The registration fee (covers both sessions) is $100. Space is limited, but there are still a few spots left.

The workshops are sponsored by the Cobourg Poetry Workshops.
