Literature for Life: Share Your Stories

Share |

Literature for Life is looking to expand its online community and is enlisting Open Book readers to the cause. They are looking to share the stories of those who have been affected by Literature for Life, and the work they do – facilitating reading circle programs to marginalized women throughout Toronto’s priority neighbourhoods.

You can connect via Facebook or Twitter, which will in turn provide a link where your friends and colleagues can join in. You can also join the online community by becoming a volunteer on one of Literature for Life’s several committees. Finally, you may also consider a small monthly or one-time donation through their secure website. Donations are seen as investments in two generations (mother and child).

By spreading the word, you will help young mothers obtain the tools for personal agency, self actualization and building capacity to become advocates for themselves and their children.
