Miranda Hill

Be sure to stop by The Afterword this week where writer and Project Bookmark Canada founder and Executive Director, Miranda Hill, is guest editing. In her first post, she addresses the question she’s often asked about being married to author Lawrence Hill: “What’s that like?” She’s extracted the possible subtexts from the question — such as “…aren’t you lucky, to live with your own personal writing instructor!” — and provided smart and hilarious responses (see “...did you always want to marry a writer?”).

People will soon be asking Lawrence what it’s like to be married to a writer as accomplished as Miranda. Her story, “Petitions to Saint Chronic,” is a finalist for the Journey Prize and she has a collection of short stories forthcoming with Doubleday Canada.
