Congratulations to the winners of the 2010 CBC Literary Awards, one of the most highly anticipated writing competitions of the year. This year's English-language award winners for the Creative Non-fiction, Poetry and Short Story categories are:

Creative Non-fiction

• Gina Leola Woolsey of Vancouver, BC for "My Best Friend" (First Prize)
• Leslie Beckmann of North Vancouver, BC for "Tortfeasor" (Second Prize)

Poetry

• Brian Brett of Salt Spring Island, BC for "To Your Scattered Bodies Go" (First Prize)
• Gerald Hill of Regina, SK for "Natural Cause" (Second Prize)

Short Story

• Meghan Adams of London, ON for "Snapshots from My Father's Euthanasia Road Trip, or, Esau" (First Prize)
• Corinne Stikeman of Toronto, ON for "Birds That Streak the Sky" (Second Prize).
