Arctic Thunder by former Ontario resident Robert Feagan has been shortlisted for the 2012 Rocky Mountain Book Award. The winner of the annual award is chose by students between Grade 4 and 7, in efforts of encouraging youth to read exemplary examples of Canadian literature.
In Arctic Thunder a young lacrosse player’s family moves from Alberta to the Northwest Territories. The story follows him as he learns to adapt to his new life.
The winner of the award will be announced on April 23, 2012.
