Submissions Open For Mississauga Youth Anthology

The second annual Mississauga Youth Anthology, to be published in June, invites youth across Mississauga to submit their work. The theme of this year's anthology will be Journeys. The anthology is put together by Ink Movement, a local group of youth writers and provides young authors and artists with the opportunity to be part of a published work. The anthology is being sponsored by the Mississauga Arts Council and the Art Gallery of Mississauga.

The anthology is accepting submissions of prose, poetry, art and photography online at Ink Movement’s website until April 13, 2014. The organization intends to publish 500 copies of a 100-page anthology, which will feature approximately 50 Mississauga youth authors and artists.

This will be the second publication of the Mississauga Youth Anthology. Last year’s anthology included the works of about 30 authors in a 60-page anthology. They were distributed by donation basis and all funds raised were donated to the Trillium Health Centre.
