This year's CBC Canada Reads was a big one...and the panelists proved themselves up to the challenge with heated debates, surprising twists, a confession — and of course, a winner. Terry Fallis's The Best Laid Plans (McClelland & Stewart), which initially couldn't even find a publisher, has been crowned Canada's book of the decade. The Best Laid Plans was championed by CNN broadcaster Ali Velshi.
